VINNY VIOLA
Vinny Viola is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) as well as a Karen Pryor Academy Graduate.
Vinny’s journey began when his dog Jester started showing signs of aggression while he was away at college receiving a Bachelors Degree in Psychology at SUNY Oneonta. He immediately saw the parallels in the behavior modification strategies he was learning in human psychology and dog training. Working as a personal trainer, he also understood how important it is to motivate those you are aiming to teach.
Vinny currently has three dogs: Baloo, a yellow Labrador who loves frisbees, doing tricks, and jumping into any water he can find. Spencer, a Pit Bull who loves a good game of tug, a hike through the woods, and carrying his ball everywhere he goes. And Zim, a Belgian Malinois that is training to play the sport Mondioring.
OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Our goal is to help you build the relationship you want with your dog while accomplishing your goals. Having a great dog starts with learning how to be a great dog owner. We will teach you to not only train your dog but to understand them. We show you how to fulfill their needs both physically and mentally. Teaching your dog through games and play keeps training fun and exciting for you and your dog, helping you achieve a reliable and obedient best friend. We will not offer a quick fix or Band-Aid; we will help you narrow down the root cause of your dog’s challenges and empower you to navigate and overcome them with confidence. Just like humans, dogs are motivated to work and learn in different ways. We will determine and utilize the tools and methods that work the best for you and your dog.
